Cubs-Braves Game Postponed, Suspended: What Happens to My Bet?
Monday's Cubs-Braves game could be impacted by weather on Monday. Tuesday the chance of rain diminishes but it is still somewhat present so monitor closely.
Obviously, when a game is postponed prior to its start, all bets are voided. You'll be sure to hate on your sportsbook after that winning G911 Sports Hub capper pick is coming through only to have the game abbreviated due to rain.
The sticky situation, and one that differs across sportsbooks, is when a game is suspended and at what point this occurs.
Bets are typically voided should the game fail to make it to the 5th inning.
It's important to understand rules vary based on the type of bets. For example, money line wagers require a game to go a full five innings. Totals and prop bets require a full game to play out are usually voided.
Even if a game hits the over prior to a suspension, some books still will not honor the over bet. It is important to check the rules beforehand.
With games deemed as "suspended" things get really confusing depending on where the bet was placed.
Bets may remain in play if the game takes place and is final within 24 to 36 hours of being suspended. DraftKings uses the 36-hour standard. Others require the game to be played later in the same day.
Before placing your baseball bets on the Cubs-Braves Monday game, make sure you monitor the weather forecast first. Things can certainly change as game time approaches.
