The Baltimore Orioles are the second biggest consensus play among the top sports handicappers at the G911 Sports Hub.

The Guardians are the most backed play by the leaderboard handicappers and this is a play we liked coming into Monday.

Tyler Megill is 0-1 with a 2.25 ERA.  He returns off the injury list and likely won't last many innings.  That's not good for a team that is dealing with a questionable closer.

Edwin Díaz remains the Mets’ closer but the reliever’s role will, at least for now, be more “fluid", according to manager Carlos Mendoza.

“This is a guy that, he'll do whatever it takes to help this team win a baseball game -- whether that's pitching in the seventh, eighth, ninth, whatever it is,” Mendoza said prior to New York's 7-3 win against the Marlins. “Now it's up to me and all of us, as the game progresses and things unfold, to make that decision where I want to use him. But he's willing to do whatever it takes.”

The remarks come on the heels of three blown leads in his past three outings and three blown saves in his past six games. His ERA after 18 appearances sits at 5.50, with five saves in eight opportunities.

Ben Lively starts for Cleveland.  He's 2-2 with a 3.06 ERA.

Seven Mets have faced Lively in 21 at bats, having four hits and one home run to go along with two RBI's (.190).

A review of the current leaderboard appears as follows:

Now let's look at the Baltimore Orioles.

They'll play a Cardinals team that beat them two times out of three games last season.  Baltimore has won six of their last ten games overall while St. Louis has won five of their last seven.

It's Orioles Dean Kremer (3.72, 3-3) vs. Cardinals Sonny Gray (3.05, 5-2)

Look at this last pitcher and be very careful when considering a play on Baltimore as Gray has faced this Orioles roster on 67 occasions, allowing just 12 hits and 7 RBIs, a single home run while striking out 21 (.179).

Kremer allowed six runs (three earned) on four hits in 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Sunday but threw six shutout innings against the Reds prior to that start.

Gray won despite giving up five runs in six innings Tuesday against the Angels and was roughed up in his prior start as well, giving up six runs.

But these may have been outliers as he didn’t allow a run over seven innings with six strikeouts to help the Cardinals to a 3-0 victory over the White Sox before these two starts.

The Under looks slightly appealing here if not for the fact that St. Louis has permitted 5 or more runs in eight of their last ten.  Gray might stop that from happening again, assuming he doesn't make it three poor showings in a row.

Kyle Buchman has just made his way to the leaderboard with his 6-4 record and he's on the Under 8.  Still can't get past the run allowance by the Cardinals of late though.
