The Kansas City Royals are the biggest consensus play by a long shot among the top sports handicappers at the G911 Sports Hub.

Some of the best handicappers on the G911 Sports Hub were backing the Royals today, followed by the Tigers/Royals Over 9. We will take a look at both possible outcomes.

KC has value too at -112.  They are 30-19 on the season and appear to be the real deal, winning 7 of their last 10 games overall.

It's the Tigers Casey Mize (3.50, 1-2) vs. the Royals Alec Marsh (2.43, 3-1) for Tuesday's game.

Mize surrendered two runs over six innings on Wednesday in a loss to the Marlins.  Before that Mize logged a quality start in a tough-luck no-decision on Friday night, holding the Astros to just one run on five hits over six strong innings of work.  He gave up five runs over 5 1/3 innings with six strikeouts in a loss to the Yankees before that.

In 50 at bats, Mize has allowed 16 hits and 7 RBIs versus these Royals.

Marsh pitched well in a losing effort against the Mariners on Wednesday afternoon, surrendering two runs (one earned) on five hits over his five frames.  Before that he struck out seven while allowing just one run over 5 1/3 innings against the Angels but did not factor into the decision.

The Royals do look like a nice play here.

As for that Over, half of the last ten games in this series have resulted in 9 or more runs being scored.

Detroit has permitted five or more runs in half of their last ten games while scoring four or more in half as well.

Kansas City has scored four or more in their last six but have allowed more than four runs in just two of their last ten.  That scares us from going with the Over.
