Key takeaways:

  • Angels are a hot play among the top cappers but their bullpen can really cause leads to come undone.  Tyler Anderson would likely have to go deep.
  • Baltimore is another heavily backed side in their game against Toronto as Grayson Rodriguez is coming off a loss his last start.

A few good consensus plays from the top sports handicappers at the G911 Sports Hub are available Monday June 3, 2024.

Angels +120

The Angels will host San Diego as a +120 home dog.

The Padres have been getting a lot of love from our top cappers in recent days but today it's all about LA.

Matt Waldron will start for San Diego.  He's 3-5 with a 4.26 ERA.

Waldron struck out eight over seven innings Tuesday in the Padres’ 4-0 shutout of the Marlins. He did not factor into the decision in his previous start.

Tyler Anderson starts for LA.  He's more than capable of getting through 8 innings.

Anderson allowed one run with four strikeouts across five innings in a loss to the Yankees on Wednesday.

In 114 at bats, the Padres have only hit 22 off of Anderson with just one home run over that time span.  They have just 6 RBIs (.193).

The Angels do have one of the worst bullpens so we'll need a strong showing from Anderson.

Angels Bullpen Woes

"The Angels bullpen has struggled in the past ten days, tallying a 4.55 ERA, 4.87 FIP, and 5.2 BB/9 across 29.2 innings of work. The Padres bullpen has thrown 34 frames in that span while tallying a 3.71 ERA and 3.50 FIP." - Winners and Whiners

Mets @ Nationals Over 8

Orioles -116

Grayson Rodriguez allowed four runs on seven hits in six innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Tuesday. He had won in his previous start and is 5-2 with a 3.53 ERA.

Kevin Gausman allowed one earned and four hits over six innings while earning the win on Tuesday against the White Sox.  It's interesting to note Gausman is coming off of two consecutive victories.

He's allowed 31 hits in 116 at bats with 13 RBIs against these Orioles.  He's only permitted two homers.

Ryan Mountcastle is .429 against him (6 for 14 with four RBIs).

Baltimore is 7-3 against Toronto and looks like the better play here.

Rockies -104

Nationals -122

Mets starter Tylor Megill (0-2, 1.69 ERA) recorded nine strikeouts over seven scoreless innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the Dodgers.

MacKenzie Gore is 4-4 with a 2.91 ERA for Washington.

Gore stayed hot with 10 strikeouts across 5 ⅓ innings in a 7-2 win over the Braves on Wednesday. He allowed just one earned run, six hits, and no walks.

MLB Leaderboard Cappers for June 3

(June 3, 2024)

Gino De Luca moves into the top spot, but not because Steven Janus has dropped off any.  Both have been solid but De Luca now has won with 8 of his picks, three yesterday.  Janus' pick won on Sunday as well.

Yellow are in danger of falling off the leaderboard
