The Minnesota Twins are winning around 50% of their games and sat a few games over the .500 mark.  Certainly they can be considered when it's time to place that MLB bet.

vs. the Oakland Athletics

(June 15, 2024) - Some good news: The Twins are 8-2 against the A's over their last ten meetings coming into Saturday.

The bad news, expect to pay a hefty price.

That's exactly the case for Saturday.

PITCHING PROBABLES: Athletics: Joey Estes (2-2, 4.78 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, 28 strikeouts); Twins: Bailey Ober (5-4, 5.13 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, 65 strikeouts)

Minnesota has a 20-14 record in home games and a 38-32 record overall. Twins hitters are batting a collective .239, which ranks eighth in the AL.

Oakland is 26-46 overall and 11-26 in road games. The Athletics rank fifth in MLB play with 81 total home runs, averaging 1.1 per game.

Bottom line is this series can mostly be ignored unless you're looking to place a bet on the total.

Twins Power Rankings

(June 15, 2024) - "Ryan Jeffers isn't the flashiest name on the Twins' roster, but he might be the player most deserving of All-Star recognition this season. The catcher/DH was a steady force while Minnesota dealt with injuries to key contributors over the season's first two months. His 12 home runs are tied for second among qualified catchers. His 131 wRC+ is fifth. Salvador Perez and Adley Rutschman are virtual locks to make the AL All-Star team as catchers. The 27-year-old Jeffers could join them for the first time." - Jorge Castillo, ESPN
