Atlanta will enter this series 6-4 over the last ten versus the Yankees dating back to 2020.  But Friday's and Saturday's games really seem to favor New York early.

vs. the Atlanta Braves and Carlos Rodon (Friday June 20)

We anticipate the price to be below -180 even though these games are being played in New York.  Atlanta is good enough to keep the price competitive.

Carlos Rodon is 9-3 with a 3.28 ERA.  He struggled in Saturday night’s loss to the Red Sox, surrendering five runs on seven hits over his five innings of work.  One would expect him to rebound here.

And here is another fun fact.  Rodon had won seven straight ahead of that rough outing.

Chris Sale is 9-2 with a 2.98 ERA.  He's faced off against six Yankees but those have amounted to 71 at bats with 10 RBI's allowed, with 5 home runs.  DJ LeMahieu is 7 for 10 against him but is barely making an impact this season.  Take him out of the picture and Sale has been really good against the Yankees.  Three of those five homers were courtesy of LeMahieu.

Sale allowed two earned runs across seven innings in a 7-3 win over the Rays on Friday. He struck out seven and walked two.

Seven of the last nine in this series dating back to 2020 have stayed Under 7.

vs. the Atlanta Braves and Marcus Stroman (Saturday June 22)

Marcus Stroman struggled in a losing effort against the Red Sox on Sunday night, giving up four runs on seven hits over his five innings of work.  But he's also struggled against the Braves, allowing 20 hits in 67 at bats.

Charlie Morton has been beaten up badly by the Yankees. He's .310 versus the Yankees having allowed 16 RBI's in 145 at bats (45 hits) and seven home runs.  Juan Soto is 7 for 11 against him with 3 of those home runs.

Morton is also coming off a win, having allowed one run on three hits in six innings in a win over the Rays on Saturday.

Yankees are really looking like a solid play here.
