The Philadelphia Phillies were just a -130 favorite at home with plenty of top G911 Sports Hub cappers backing them at home against the Diamondbacks.  The line has since moved to -142.

PITCHING PROBABLES: Diamondbacks: Jordan Montgomery (5-4, 5.68 ERA, 1.61 WHIP, 39 strikeouts); Phillies: Taijuan Walker (3-2, 5.33 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, 40 strikeouts).

Philadelphia has a 29-11 record in home games and a 49-25 record overall. The Phillies have the fourth-best team batting average in MLB play at .256.

Arizona is 37-38 overall and 18-20 in road games. The Diamondbacks have a 28-6 record in games when they scored five or more runs.

The matchup Friday is the first meeting this season between the two clubs.  Arizona won four of the last five games in this series, including the last two in Philadelphia.  This is an improved Phillies team and a Diamondbacks club that has taken a bit of a step back from last season.

Walker has allowed 17 hits in 51 at bats vs. Diamondbacks batters.  This includes 6 RBI's. Joc Pederson has six RBI's against him in 26 at bats.  He also has 11 hits.

Walker allowed three runs with four strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Orioles on Saturday.   He does not have a win over his last six starts.

Montgomery looked sharp in Sunday’s victory over the White Sox, allowing just an unearned run on four hits over his five frames.  But he may be due for a poor showing here.

We are on the Phillies tonight.
