Gavin Newsom odds were shortened to 6-1 almost immediately following Thursday night’s debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump.  Prior to the debate Newsom’s odds were 14-1.

During and following the debate, gaming platform BetOnline.ag was adjusting the 2024 Election Odds in real time. The odds started with Trump as a -150 favorite and Biden a +130 on underdog.

Throughout the debate, Trump became a bigger and bigger favorite. Currently, Trump's odds have improved to -175 while Biden's odds have fallen all the way to +300 (or 3/1).  Those odds had mostly settled in by Friday morning.

Here are the notable movements from the start of the debate to now:

- Gavin Newsom's odds went from 25/1 to 7/1
- Michelle Obama's odds went from 22/1 to 16/1
Kamala Harris' odds went from 40/1 to 20/1

"I would never turn my back on President Biden. Never turn my back on President Biden. I don't know a Democrat in my party that would do so. And especially after tonight, we have his back," Newsom said.
"We run, not the 90-yard dash. We are all in. We're going to double down in the next few months. We're going to win this election," he continued.
