The Tigers finished the first half of the 2024 season with a bang, winning 10 of their last 14 games.  Toronto continued to play mostly lackluster baseball.

The Tigers are 5-3 in the last eight meetings, but those games were all played in Detroit. Toronto was mostly dominant prior to this time frame.

For Friday's game we have the Detroit Tigers at anywhere from +100 to +112 at Bookie.ag.

Tigers Pitching

Jack Flaherty (6-5, 3.13 ERA)

We didn't quite know who Flaherty's opposing pitcher will be but the Blue Jays are just .148 against him in 64 at bats. Flaherty has permitted just 5 RBIs and two homers.  The RBI's were from hitters who are under .200 against him.

Flaherty has wins in five of his last six starts, including his last start where he allowed just two hits and one run while firing six innings to get a win over the Guardians.

Blue Jays Pitching

Chris Bassett (8-7, 3.52 ERA)

Bassett has been destroyed by this Tigers lineup.  Keep in mind the total is just 7.5 here.

Seven Tigers are better than .300 batting against him.  All but one of them have had at least six shots at Bassett.

There were four home runs, nine RBI's and 30 hits out of 58 at bats.

Bassitt allowed three runs with six strikeouts over five innings in a win over the Giants in his last starting effort.
