Berlin Television Appeal to Catch Poker Robbers

A television appeal was launched in an effort to find four robbers who made off with close to a quarter million euros this past Saturday during a brazen afternoon robbery at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Berlin.

The Wednesday night program "Aktenzeichen XY.....ungeloest" (File XY...unsolved) broadcast the appeal as no new tips came in.

Four masked men armed with handguns and wielding machetes stormed the European Poker Tour Berlin tournament, escaping with a portion of the money.

Police have publicly called the bandits "amateurs", citing that some DNA had been left at the scene and that not all the robbers wore gloves. Much of the money was also confiscated by a security guard during the ensuing chaos.
