Odds on Tarik Skubal Next Team
Tarik Skubal of the Detroit Tigers is among the hottest starting pitchers in Major League Baseball right now. He's also among the more attractive trade prospects.
According to MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand, the Orioles and Dodgers are interested in in the left-hander.
It shouldn't be surprising that BetOnline would release odds on which team Skubal would be traded to next, with both those teams favored.
Among his accomplishments this year alone: On April 28, Skubal became the first pitcher in Tigers franchise history to strike out 40+ batters through his first six starts with fewer than nine walks.
In a May 5 game against the New York Yankees, Skubal became the first Tigers pitcher in over 100 years to strike out 12 or more batters without issuing a walk. Eric Erickson was the last Tigers pitcher to do so (in a 16-inning complete game) way back on May 24, 1918.
Skubal had a 10–3 record ahead of this year's All-Star break, owning a 2.37 ERA to go along with a league-best 0.90 WHIP and 132 strikeouts in 110 innings. He was selected to play in the All-Star Game where he pitched a 1-2-3 second inning.
