Aaron Rodgers Fired Up as Jets Endure 'Sloppy' Practice

The New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was livid following Monday's practice. Rodgers threw an interception despite being a well thrown ball.  There were a number of sacks and one player even stepped on Rodgers foot.

"I would say 'demonstrative' is a good word for him," said Allen Lazard, Rodgers' former Green Bay Packers teammate. "You're talking about one of the best, if not the best quarterback of all time, and his standard and level of play is something a lot of guys haven't seen yet. Even this organization -- they haven't really been with him on game day, because being with him on the sideline on a Sunday is different.

"Honestly, he expects the same standard that he holds himself to out of everyone else, and today just didn't resemble that at all. I think as an offense we were just a little bit sloppy."

Tight end Tyler Conklin called it a good learning experience, saying the Jets can benefit from having such a dynamic leader at quarterback. It's been many years since the Jets had that kind of player at the position.

"I think that's the beauty of playing with a great like that," Conklin said. "You have someone that's going to, at all times, hold everybody accountable, no matter who you are. I think that's kind of something that not every team has. I think that's really a blessing at the end of the day to have someone that cares that much and has a standard like that.

"That's going to become our standard as a team. But to have a Hall of Famer who has won a Super Bowl -- been there, done that -- I think that's necessary."

The Jets are favored to win Over 9.5 regular season games in 2024.

Gambling Addict Son Filmed 'Poisoning Mother and Stepfather So He Could Inherit Their Money'

From the Mirror:

A gambling addict son has been apprehended by police after he was secretly filmed poisoning his mother and stepfather in order to inherit their money.

Accused Artyom Missyura, reports local media in Russia, was up to his neck in debt and decided the only way he could pay it off was if he killed his mum Ekaterina and stepdad. His parents had been tipped off by medics that their deteriorating health had been caused by poison, which was then traced to their food at home, and Missyura, 25, was later filmed administering it during one of his solo visits to their apartment in Balashikha, just east of Moscow, local media reported on 20th July.

The cameras were installed after doctors contacted police, who provided the couple with a secret CCTV camera for their kitchen. Sinister footage shows Missyura taking spoonfuls of a toxic chemical and adding it to a jar of what seems to be sugar.

Harris Moves Into Lead Over Trump

New data from the non-profit Angus Reid Institute finds Harris energizing the Democratic campaign and entering with a slight overall advantage in vote intent. Currently 44 per cent of American registered voters say they would support her bid, a two-point edge over Trump. Key at play are racial and generational dynamics.

The odds remained unchanged overnight Monday however.
