Twitter (X) InfoMap Shows Philadelphia Phillies Are Most Disliked Team in MLB

It's an unscientific study to be sure but our friends at BetOnline have found the Philadelphia Phillies are the most hated team in the USA.  This is despite the Phillies being the 2nd most likely team currently to win the 2024 World Series.  Granted it's pretty ugly at the moment.

Currently, the Phillies pay out just over $400 for every $100 bet to win the 2024 World Series.  Some sites are creeping up as high as +525. Coming into their series against Seattle, the Phillies have won a single game in their last seven.

The graphic below is based on negative sentiment tweets for each MLB team since Opening Day back in March. For example, tracking tweets like "I hate the Dodgers," "The Dodgers suck," "(expletive) the Dodgers," "Screw the Dodgers," etc. Over 100,000 tweets were tracked.

Last year the Dodgers held the title of "most hated," and in 2022 it was the Yankees... but this year MLB fans have turned their ire to the Phillies.
