College Basketball teams getting the most betting (and in some cases, lopsided action) early on included the likes of Notre Dame, Louisville, Siena and Marquette.

Hollywood Sports Book listed Notre Dame as the -2 point favorite against Old Dominion with nearly 95 percent of the action going the Fighting Irish's way.

Notre Dame was happy to make the cut as a number 6 seed.

The winner will face the winner of third seed Baylor and 14th seed Sam Houston State.

The Fighting Irish were long considered a bubble team, but clearly helped themselves with an impressive late-season run and the perception is that Notre Dame should easily beat Old Dominion with such a small line.

Louisville was getting 87 percent of the action as just a -1 ½ favorite vs. California.

Marquette was getting 91 percent as the -2 favorite.

Siena was getting 80 percent of the betting action as a +4 underdog.  Not only does Siena look competitive but their opponent, Purdue, is dealing with serious injuries right now.  It is surprising they would be a +4 underdog here.  Some experts pondered the idea they might end up a favorite, and that could still happen by the time this game rolls around.

This appears to be one of the most wide open March Madness events in years.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
