The line on the Tennessee vs. Oklahoma game Saturday was Vols -7 and the favorites were seeing greater than 85% action early on with both cash and tickets.

Despite this, the line was staying on the -7.  We weren't seeing any movement to the -6.5 as of Wednesday.

The Vols were rated No. 8 on Sagarin.  Oklahoma came in at No. 15.

Remarkably, Sagarin only gives us a line of PICK'EM Tennessee.

Unfortunately our model doesn't really give an edge to overlays in this spot.

Jackson Arnold ran for two touchdowns and threw for another as No. 15 Oklahoma beat Tulane 34-19 on Saturday.

Arnold passed for 169 yards and ran for 97. Freshman running back Taylor Tatum caught a touchdown pass and ran for a score, and Deion Burks caught seven passes for 80 yards to help lead the Sooners.

Oklahoma coach Brent Venables liked how the Sooners responded after struggling to beat Houston 16-12 in their previous game.

“You go into a week where there’s a lot of questions and concern, if you will, and they did a great job of managing the week and focusing on what they need to do to improve and get better and take another step forward,” Venables said.

OU receiver Nic Anderson could be returning from injury to face Tennessee.

Sooners quarterback Jackson Arnold said Monday after practice that Anderson had teased him the past few weeks about playing but never did. Arnold added he's looking forward to Anderson being back on the field Saturday.

"I was talking to him about it today," Arnold said. "Having Nic back Saturday will be awesome. Obviously, a key piece to our offense, a dynamic piece for us and hopefully we can facilitate the ball to him this weekend."

Tennessee routed Kent State in Week 3.

Dylan Sampson rushed for 101 yards and four touchdowns — all in the first half — to lead No. 7 Tennessee to a 71-0 victory over Kent State on Saturday night.

It was Sampson's fourth straight game, dating back to last season's Citrus Bowl game, in which he rushed for over 100 yards.

“(Sampson) has great vision and great pace,” Tennessee coach Josh Heupel said. “He presses the line of scrimmage and is elusive in space.”

“You can only control what you've got in the moment,” said Sampson. “That's the way you find out who you are. The (running back) position is all about grit.”

DeSean Bishop added 120 rushing yards and two TDs in the first half for the Volunteers (3-0).
