Bet365 Ranks No. 3 in Kentucky Online Sports Betting
It's hard to believe but online sports betting has been regulated in the Commonwealth of Kentucky for one year now.
Over that time, the usual suspects gobbled up much of the market share. We're talking DraftKings (39%) and FanDuel (35%) in terms of overall betting handle.
Guess who's in the third spot. It's not BetMGM (6%) and it's not ESPN Bet (5%).
Surprisingly it's Bet365.
Gambling911.com had the pleasure of visiting Bet365's new US headquarters in Denver, Colorado a few weeks ago.
The British sportsbook has leased the third and fourth floors of the five-story building, acquiring 60,000 square feet of space on each floor. They mean business when it comes to the US online gambling market.
What makes Bet365 unique among sites currently regulated in the United States is that they have prior experience in the online betting market here. Bet365 once accepted online bets from most states during the 2000's and they were highly embraced.
Caesars has some roots in the US sports betting market through its 2021 acquisition of William Hill, which very briefly took bets from those in the States during the early 2000's.
Caesars grabbed 5 percent of the overall Kentucky market share in the past year. Fanatics had just 3 percent.
Adjusted gross revenue (AGR) market share gives BetMGM (11%) an advantage over Bet365 (5%). Outside of FanDuel (38%), DraftKings (37%) and BetMGM, Bet365 ranks above all others in terms of AGR.
