FanDuel is infuriating South Florida residents with its recent Facebook ad.
That ad is for its streaming network.
"Stream The Head on FanDuel Sports Network. Sign up today for up to 10% off our season pass."
Well, that didn't go over very well.
Locals Miami area residents exposed to the ad were quick to point out that Heat games have long been free to watch in the region.
FanDuel recently took control of Bally Sport, which broadcast Heat games over the past several years. They recently rebranded as the FanDuel Sports Network.
FanDuel is also the nation's largest sports wagering company while also operating a daily fantasy sports site.
Jason blasted FanDuel.
"Disgusting that FanDuel makes us pay extra to get Heat games, on top of pricey live tv plans. They could work with them but they'd rather be greedy and charge extra. It's just greed. Nobody should sign up with these people."
Victor writes: "Sorry, not paying to watch the same thing that has been free since day one!"
And Claire writes: "I've been watching the Heat since 1990. Free. Do you hear that FanDuel? Free. Since when do people have to watch their home team and pay for it?
"It makes no sense. I'm sure not many people will pay that much money to watch the games. I think everyone should boycott the Heat until something changes. Soon, they will make us pay to watch the news!!!! Sorry for the rant!

Jeremy noted that he was not seeing any 10% discount upon clicking on the ad.
We should also point out that, while FanDuel advertises its sports betting app heavily in the Sunshine State, the company is not licensed to take bets there. Only Hard Rock Bet is regulated to accept wagers in Florida from US based companies.
Internationally licensed sportsbooks (also known as offshore sportsbooks) and local bookies present another options. None of these are regulated in the state however.
