BYU vs. UCF Betting Preview October 26
The BYU vs. Central Florida betting line was coming in at Knights -2.5 across the world of sportsbooks and those $3 pay per heads. Sagarin has a number of BYU 3.65. Our model suggests the wrong team favored in this situation (UCF) tends to not fare very well.
We should note that BYU had been favored just a few days ago by as much as -2.5 points.
The Knights are 3-4 and have lost four straight but do have one of the best running backs in the country in senior RJ Harvey.
BYU comes into this game 7-0 but struggled against Oklahoma State last week.
Oklahoma State rushed for 267 yards in the close 38-35 loss. The Cowboys were 9 of 13 on third down and 2 of 2 on fourth down and exposed the Cougars unimpressive run defense.
“They just had way too much success on us (after) what we have been able to do all year long,” BYU coach Kalani Sitake said of OSU’s offense, which totaled 421 yards. “We will just go back to the film and find ways to get better. You have to credit them for stressing us a little bit. I think UCF is going to do the same thing next week. So we gotta be ready for it.”

Jake Retzlaff threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to Darius Lassiter with 10 seconds left and No. 13 BYU remained undefeated, outlasting Oklahoma State 38-35 on Friday night.
Retzlaff kept the drive alive with an 8-yard pass to Chase Roberts on fourth-and-7, and set up the deciding play with a 27-yard run up the middle. Lassiter eluded a pair of tacklers for the go-ahead score for the Cougars (7-0, 4-0 Big 12).
“It’s magical. It’s spiritual,” Retzlaff said. “How can you not be romantic about this game?”
