Vs. the Colts Week 8

(October 26, 2024) - CJ Stroud's passing yards total versus the Colts was listed at 240.5.

Stroud completed 10-of-21 passes for 86 yards in Houston’s 24-22, Week 7 loss to the Packers.

The Houston Texans aren’t concerned about C.J. Stroud after the quarterback had the worst statistical game of his young career in a loss at Green Bay last week.

“C.J. handles adversity really well because he’s really grounded ... and it doesn’t dictate who he is or change his personality and what he’s about,” coach DeMeco Ryans said. “So, I’m excited to see how, not only C.J., but how everyone responds after losing a game.”

Houston went from a -6 to -5 favorite versus the Colts with greater than 75% of the tickets and cash on the Texans.

Sagarin gives us a number of Houston -3.

@ Packers Week 7

C.J. Stroud completed 10-of-21 passes for 86 yards in Houston’s 24-22, Week 7 loss to the Packers.

From NBC Edge:

It was a war zone for Stroud, as Packers DC Jeff Hafley pantsed the Texans pass protection early and often with sim pressures, often getting heat on Stroud despite sending just four. With Quay Walker’s injury shifting the game into Joe Mixon’s hands, Stroud took merely four sacks instead of the seven or eight he could have had to go with this Daniel Jones-esque stat line. We’d like to say Stroud will rebound next week against the Colts, but Houston’s pass protection has officially become enough of a problem that you now have to factor in a lower ceiling for Stroud — he might be more of a low-end QB1 or high-end QB2 at this point for fantasy purposes.
