Tennessee Fines Bovada

The Tennessee Sports Wagering Council through its executive director issued $50,000 in fines Tuesday to Bovada.lv, which the regulator says is not licensed to operate in the Volunteer State.

Bovada failed to comply with cease and desist letters delivered to addresses in Curaçao, and Council investigators placed wagers through Bovada’s platform on three separate occasions, including as recently as 16 October 2024.

The Sports Gaming Act authorizes the Council to impose a $10,000 fine for the first offense of accepting wagers without a license, which rises to $15,000 for the second offense, and $25,000 for the third offense. Subsequent offenses may lead to the imposition of a $25,000 fine for each occurrence, an occurrence being a single wager accepted in Tennessee.

Dodgers Juan Soto Odds Heat Up: Payout Was $1200 on a $100 Bet

The World Series could be coming to an abrupt end Tuesday should the Yankees fall to the Dodgers once more.

By late Monday, much of the talk surrounding the Dodgers involved the potential for signing Yankees slugger Juan Soto.

BetOnline had previously made the LA Dodgers a 12/1 long shot to land Soto.  These odds were expected to get much shorter with the most recent news.

Soto’s future has been an ongoing story all season long. He had arguably his best season in the Bronx with a career-high in home runs and WAR.

He’s also raking during the postseason with an 1.106 OPS!

Seminoles Announce End of Legal Challenges, Partnership With Flagler

West Flagler Associates, LTD, Bonita-Fort Myers Corporation, Southwest Florida Enterprises, Inc. and Isadore Havenick (the “West Flagler Parties”) and the Seminole Tribe of Florida have entered into a comprehensive agreement whereby the West Flagler Parties have agreed to refrain from engaging in any future litigation with respect to the Seminole Tribe’s gaming operations and instead will begin a new partnership to offer and promote wagering on Jai Alai on the Hard Rock Bet app.

As part of the agreement, the West Flagler Parties have agreed not to bring or support any future legal challenge to the Seminole Tribe’s gaming operations, including mobile gaming offered by the Seminole Tribe now or in the future.  In addition, Jai Alai provided by Battle Court Jai Alai, LLC, an affiliate of West Flagler, will be offered on the Hard Rock Bet app.  The parties anticipate that the Seminole Tribe will launch Jai Alai on its Hard Rock Bet app in early 2025.

This agreement ends years of disputes between the Seminole Tribe and the West Flagler Parties and avoids future litigation over the Seminole Tribe’s gaming operations.  According to Jim Allen, CEO of Seminole Gaming, “This is truly a win-win agreement for the Seminole Tribe and West Flagler.  This agreement establishes a relationship of collaboration among the Seminole Tribe and West Flagler in the State of Florida.  Rather than engaging in years of additional litigation, this agreement will allow the parties to work together to promote Jai Alai, which has played an important role in Florida’s gaming landscape for nearly 100 years.”
