Carson Beck had a passing yards total of 268.5 versus Ole Miss for Saturday's game.

Beck has reached beyond that number in three of his last five games.

One he didn't hit that number was against Texas two weeks ago.  That's a game the Bulldogs won but Beck only had 175 passing yards.

The redshirt senior completed just 56.1% of his passes and threw three interceptions, posting a season-low quarterback rating of 77.3.

"I was just off the entire game," Beck said. "I was just off. That's really difficult. Not to say that games like that are going to happen, but I can't control everything. I can control what I can control. I got to go back and watch a film. I got to get better. I got to be better for this team. It was a great day for our defense to show up the way that they did considering the way that I played. The offense can be so much better. To come on the road and win and while not playing our best game is a huge testament to our team."

Georgia coach Kirby Smart defended Beck's play after the game, claiming "eight or nine drops" had an effect on his quarterback. Pro Football Focus credited Georgia with three total drops against Texas, one each from Dominic Lovett, Dillon Bell and London Humphreys.

6th Best Rusher in the Nation Out for Ole Miss

Ole Miss leading rusher Henry Parrish Jr. will be out for this game.  As of Wednesday, BetUS only listed Jaxson Dart's Over/Under total rushing yards (22.5).

“Yeah, he’s out. That’s all I’ve got,” Lane Kiffin told reporters on Sunday regarding Parrish. He didn’t offer any more details Monday on the Miami transfer’s injury.

Parrish is sixth in the Southeastern Conference in rushing with 678 yards and 10 touchdowns.

“We’re going to need some guys to step up,” Kiffin said on Monday. “That’s a big loss for us. He’d done well for us this year with the ball and in protection.

“Teams face adversity and that (running back) room’s facing it.”

The depth chart Monday only indicated either Ulysses Bentley IV, Matt Jones or Domonique Thomas would start in Saturday’s game with the Bulldogs.

Thomas, a Georgia State transfer, ran 10 ties for 41 yards in Parrish’s absence against Arkansas. He has run for 131 yards and a touchdown this season.

Jones has gained 222 yards with three scores while Bentley has 185 yards and a TD.
