Murray State Beats Vanderbilt: Odds to Win Pay $35000
Amazingly if number 13-seed Murray State were to somehow win the 2010 NCAA Championship, they would pay a whopping $35000 for every $100 bet at SBG Global. Having just knocked off number 4-seed Vanderbilt Thursday, they are one step closer to realizing such an amazing feat. Still, they do have a long way to go.
Murray State used Danero Thomas' jumper at the buzzer to secure its first NCAA tournament victory since 1988 and second overall tournament win in 14 appearances.
"That shot was bigger than he could imagine," Murray State's B.J. Jenkins said. "It wasn't just a game-winning shot. We'll remember this for the rest of our lives."
The Racers' win marks the third straight year a 13 seed has beaten a No. 4 seed.
Murray State, which came in with a 1-13 all-time NCAA tournament record, will play again Saturday at HP Pavilion against the winner of UTEP-Butler.
Old Dominion also shocked its opponent, the heavily bet on Notre Dame. Old Dominion would pay out $30,000 for every $100 bet should they win the NCAA Tournament Championship.
