Just days after Leicester City shirt sponsor finally spoke out about BC.Bet's financial woes comes word that Curaçao, one of the world's leading online gambling hubs, is prepared to yank that company's license.

Unfortunately it may be too little too late.

An estimated 2 million plus customers could be impacted should the site shutter.

The Curaçao Gaming Control Board (GCB) will withdraw the license of Small House BV, trading as BC.Game, due to questions about its finances and compliance with regulation.

BC.Game claims to be among the most established cryptocurrency sites serving gamblers across the globe, minus the United States.

Small House B.V took over operations of the BC.GAME website brand previously owned by BlockDance B.V on April 30 of this year.. All payment services related to Small House B.V. are processed by Fenice Tech Limited [HE416055], located at Griva Digeni, 81 Marinos Court, 3rd Floor, Flat/Office 301, 6043 Lárnaka, Republic of Cyprus.

Its Curaçao license was only issued on February 22 of this year.

The Joint Court of Justice of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, and the BES islands declared Small House BV bankrupt earlier in the month, according to court documents seen by NEXT.io.

Next.io reports that the ruling comes after a group of international claimants represented by the Foundation for the Advocation of Victims of Online Gambling (SBGOK) initiated legal action against the BC.Game

The advocacy group says it aims to bring litigation against Curaçao-licensed operators that defraud players and was founded by prominent Dutch journalist Nardy Cramm.

The court said: “Given the undisputed position of SBGOK et al. that BC.Game does not maintain a local bank account and/or reputable bank account in violation of the licensing conditions and the other position of Small House, it is sufficiently clear that it is in the state in which it has ceased to pay.”

BC.Game said it was appealing that decision, adding that it was “not facing liquidity issues and has maintained solid financial stability”.

Leicester City's shirt sponsorship deal likely brought in an untold number of customers to the troubled gaming company.

Leicester City say they are “in regular discussions” with its sponsor.

Leicester, who signed BC.Game as their main sponsor in the summer on a two-year deal reported to be worth up to £30m, say the brand has promised to honour its contract.

“We have been and continue to be in regular discussions with BC.Game with regard to an active legal case in Curacao,” a club spokesman told City AM.

“BC.Game have provided the Club with the strongest assurances that they are actively appealing this case, and that the process which has been initiated in Curacao is administrative in nature and has not arisen due to any concerns with their financial standing.

”BC.Game have further assured us that they have no issues with liquidity and that they remain fully committed to meeting their ongoing contractual and financial obligations, including to the Club, and that this case will not impact on BC.Game’s continuing international operations.”

The site remained up as of Tuesday night with its Twitter feed regularly updated.

Gambling911.com will continue to monitor this situation closely.
