Curacao's anticipated revoking of BC.Game's gambling license may already be causing some disruptions.

Curacao’s Gaming Control Board (GCB) has issued a statement addressing recent allegations surrounding the island’s gaming licensing system and operator BC.GAME.

Complaints against GCB may not be entirely warranted, at least not on the BC. Game front.  BC.Game has only been licensed in Curacao since the beginning of the year.  Furthermore, the Leicester City entered into a multi-million dollar shirt deal with the gaming company.

A lot of industry folks on our LinkedIN feed have defended Curacao's gaming regime.

AG Brief writes: "At the heart of the controversy is the claim that the GCB lacks the authority to issue licenses under the National Ordinance on Hazard Games (NOOGH). The GCB categorically refutes this, explaining that its mandate stems from a 2020 directive by Curacao’s Minister of Finance, later amended in 2023. The agency also clarifies that licenses issued under NOOGH are not “provisional,” but full licenses subject to strict conditions."

They add: "On player disputes, the GCB states that under the forthcoming LOK framework, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) will become mandatory, ensuring greater independence in handling complaints. While this represents a step forward, it does not address the immediate concerns of affected players, such as those involved in the BC.GAME bankruptcy case."

Complaints pertaining to BC.Game were beginning to appear on Trust Pilot.

One customer spoke somewhat glowingly of BC.Game but expressed outrage over an issue he dealt with this week.

"I've used BC Game with little issue for…I've used BC Game with little issue for a few months, not had a problem with much, and always could withdraw reasonably easily enough. That changed last night, I gambled for hours to win back £300 from a small rakeback, usually, I gamble in Tether but due to it being a casino bonus, the currency was BCD. I withdrew the funds to my usual wallet and nothing arrived after an hour, since then I've contacted BC Game and they've ignored me outright on live messaging, email to support, and every other avenue. BC claims the withdrawal went through, but I have nothing. Why would the casino even let a payment like that be issued if it's not the right wallet type?. Anyway if the money is lost and unrecoverable I'll never use BC Game again, this leaves a bad taste.

Another person wrote:

"Unable to Access Account/Lack of Support Response. I've been trying to access my BC Game account, but I'm experiencing login issue/2fa. Despite reaching out to the support team via email and other channels, I haven't received a response or resolution.

"I would appreciate it if someone from the BC Game support team could look into this matter and assist me in resolving the issue."

Both complaints were from the past week.
