Well, that certainly wasn’t a fun weekend of college football games.

The average margin of victory was 19.3 points per game in the first round of the College Football 12-Team Playoffs and truthfully, the games didn’t even feel that close.

There will be many narratives surrounding this first round of the inaugural 12-team playoff, but I’m guessing the two biggest will be about homefield advantage and teams that didn’t deserve to be in the playoffs to begin with.

It’s probably a combination of the two. Whatever the narrative is for you, I think we can all agree the games were a huge letdown.

Hopefully, the round of eight has more competitive games.

The oddsmakers at BetOnline.ag have updated their odds to win the College Football Playoff.

Texas is the current favorite followed by Ohio State with the top team in the nation, Oregon, having the third best odds.

Additionally, last week the oddsmakers at BetOnline.ag set lookahead links for all eight potential second round games. It’s interesting to see how those lines have changed.

The game lines are subject to change, here’s the direct link to real-time odds: https://www.betonline.ag/sportsbook/football/ncaa.
