Jayson Tatum Total Points Scored Prop Bet vs. 76ers - Christmas Day Game
Jayson Tatum (illness) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the 76ers. The oddsmakers think otherwise as they list him playing and scoring an Over/Under of 25.5 points.
Tatum shot 16-of-24 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Saturday’s 123-98 win over Chicago, scoring 43 points with 16 rebounds, 10 assists, and nine 3-pointers in 36 minutes.
Before that, Tatum logged 37 minutes in Thursday’s 117-108 loss to Chicago, accounting for 31 points (10-of-22 FGs, 7-of-9 FTs), 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and four 3-pointers.
Tatum’s availability was a game-time decision on Monday night.
The Celtics forward wasn’t feeling well, but tried to power through and play, coach Joe Mazzulla said.
But, ultimately, Tatum was ruled out with a non-COVID illness and the Celtics lost the game against the Orlando Magic without him.
“Right before we came out for tipoff,” Mazzulla said. “He did what he tried to do to try to play, he just wasn’t able to.”
The 76ers have gone 9-10 against Eastern Conference opponents. Philadelphia has a 1-1 record in games decided by 3 points or fewer.
The Celtics are shooting 45.6% from the field this season, 2.2 percentage points lower than the 47.8% the 76ers allow to opponents. The 76ers are shooting 44.2% from the field, 1.5% lower than the 45.7% the Celtics' opponents have shot this season.
