A Norwalk, Connecticut card dealer working for the company that runs the software platform for both DraftKings and FanDuel has plead guilty to cheating on gaming after he was charged by state police on allegations he used his own accounts to place bets on blackjack decks he tampered with or memorized.

Sebastian Echeverri is accused of stealing $47,000 from DraftKings as part of the scheme.  He was charged with larceny and cheating by Connecticut State Police.

The 23-year-old turned himself into Troop G police in Bridgeport on Wednesday.  He was later released on $50,000 bond and is due to appear in state Superior Court in Bridgeport on April 20.

According to TheHour.com, State police said the Statewide Organized Crime Investigative Task Force started investigating in January, after the Department of Consumer Protection was alerted to the activity. The agency reported an "alleged cheating scam," involving Echeverri, who worked as a card dealer for the parent company of DraftKings and FanDuel, Evolution, in Fairfield.

Connecticut is one of the few states that regulate i-Gaming, including live dealer casinos.

DraftKings is partnered with Foxwoods in the state.
