This isn't a scientific study by any stretch of the imagination, but it's also not a paid for fluff piece either.  Gambling911.com has snuffed out all those sites to uncover the reality of sweepstakes casinos that regularly offer up wins.

What is a Sweepstakes, or Sweeps, Casino?

A sweepstakes casino is a type of online gaming site that, unlike their real money counterparts, do not require any purchase to win.. Alas, you'll eventually be asked to supply your banking information in order to purchase sweeps coins, or virtual coins.  Most customers report a higher winning percentage when doing so.

Which Sweepstakes Casinos Tend to Offer a Higher Win Percentage?

Cowathor on Reddit writes:

"I have played solely using free daily/free random drops and paying for packages that I could mathematically guarantee a return of at least my money. Currently, I have withdrawn $185 from Chumba and $300+ in gift cards. On LuckyLand, I have withdrawn $51. On McLuck, I have withdrawn $86. Pulsz, I have bought in for $20 and got a $33 giftcard back so the worst return but still positive.

"Now, how I determine if an offer is a positive one is where I make a good return. First and foremost, I only do an offer that has AT LEAST 100% extra SweepsCoins (SC) (think 20SC for $10) and my usual ones I do are 133%-150%. One time (I believe LuckyLand) I had a crappy return on the purchase and needed a little bit extra ($2-$3) to get me to the redeem threshold so I purchased a $5 or $10 package with 5 or 10 SC and played it through to hit the redeem threshold.

"Now, the reason I have had good luck on these I really believe is the volatility of BJ is way less than slots. If you are betting $1 or less on 1-3 hands you can expect a decent return on $10 or more where very rarely you get less than 70-80% back in redeemable coins. My worst bonus ever I bought 25 SC for $12 and got $13 back on Chumba. McLuck is the only site I have purchased coins from that doesn't offer BlackJack but the offers were ridiculous being 250% (25SC for $10 and 50SC for $20). This meant that once I had built up about $10 of redeemable coins with the free daily, I had a really good chance of being able to actually redeem (a little luck in there, but hey, you wouldn't be here if you didn't like trying your luck)."

Stake.us also pays nicely, according to Many-pop6810:

"Stake I cashed out 2 grand last week's. Takes about 5 mins to receive the money in my Coinbase I just hit my gold vip promotion also and was paid $120 $55 for silver and $30 for bronze. My bonus last week was $30 this week I bet it will be $50 and my previous monthly bonus was $30 I'm expecting o er $100 this month.  Also the bonus can be cashed out without playing. Stake is by far the fastest for loading and cashing out and the bonuses are crazy good. U get $25 just for signing up."

Pandxai has done especially well on McLuck:

"Mcluck this week. With about $80 dollars in total I’ve cashed out $1350. It was good on Chumba for about $1500 a month ago but I put in like $400. I never win on lucky land."

Lucky Land wasn't getting a whole lot of love on Reddit.

From GeorgiaPeach119:

"Chumba…around $2K. It’s starting to get slow, tho. LuckyLand doesn’t do me well & I ONLY use them for the daily reward. I can’t use Zula or McLuck in Georgia. Blah."

jkier2244 offered:  "I've had luck on Modo and Pulsz/Pulszbingo When I first started playing luckyland a while ago I'd win but now nothing. I self excluded from Chumba. It was harsh to me."
