Steven Ashworth Performance

Ashworth finished with 23 points (8-19 FG, 7-15 3Pt, 0-2 FT), six rebounds and 11 assists across 38 minutes during the March 8 87-74 victory over Butler.

From RotoWire:

"It was the fifth time since the start of February that Ashworth has finished with 20 or more points. The Bluejays point guard and second-leading scorer has led the team to four victories in its last five games heading into next week's Big East tournament."

Ryan Kalkbrenner Performance

Kalkbrenner scored 15 points for second-seeded Creighton (24-10), which fell to 0-5 in Big East championship games since joining the conference for the 2013-14 season.

Prior to that game, Creighton won in what was the first double-overtime game since 2012 at the Big East Tournament.

The All-American candidate Kalkbrenner had 32 points and nine rebounds in that game.

He came up with the go-ahead bucket in the final five-minute segment, then an ensuing tough finish that made it 79-76 Creighton with 1:31 left before a Jamiya Neal dunk sealed it.
"You don't have comebacks like that without being together and sticking with each other and not giving up on each other, or trying to play hero ball because you don't trust your teammates or whatnot," Kalkbrenner said. "Just staying with each other and chipping away at it."
