The Global Poker Index announced on Monday that the 2018 and 2019 GPI Player of the Year, Alex Foxen (GPI #3/PoY #2), has won Player of the Month honors for April, 2025.

Alex scored five results during the month, all top-five finishes, including two wins and all of them coming from the PokerGO Studio at Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. A total of 1,375.92 points gave Alex a 70-point gap ahead of Matthew Wantman.

Between the PokerGO Tour’s U.S. Poker Open and the PGT PLO Series, Alex dominated inside the PokerGO Studio in April. He won Event #7 of both festivals for over $300,000 each, while also picking up a 2nd, 3rd, and 5th place finish along the way.

The five results added just under a million dollars ($943,485) to Alex’s career live tournament earnings of $45,721,003.

As impressive as that number is, adding almost a million dollars did not help him move up in any major category. Alex currently sits in 4th place in his home state of New York, 10th in the USA, and 15th on The Hendon Mob’s All-Time Money List.
