It's the talk of the Twitter poker community in recent days.

Among those allegedly involved include influencer Mobbin44 as well as others from the Gambling Twitter community.

The gang from Circles Off spent hours conducting research as to what has transpired, and it's quite convoluted to say the least.

"It's been quietly known that there are some big poker games on Gambling Twitter - amongst Gambling Twitter - for the past few months," Kirk Evans from the podcast explains.  "It started out small, so I think the assumption was that everyone was good for the money.  But that kind of ethos stayed in the games throughout.  But, as the months went on, more and more people were allowed into these games.

"And I also think a pretty important part of this story is Tommy G was in these games, and by his own admission, is not a very good poker player, and was willing to risk significant amounts of money."

This accumulated into a game that took place over the weekend. Mobbin44 was in this game and started going down a lot.  There was no proof of funds or that anyone had vouched for Mobin44.  There were allegations that he sent a "fake" payment, according to the Circles Off team.

But here's where things really went off the rails:

"Adam (thennhlbetter), it came out that he sent a text to Blue Beard (another of the poker players) saying - this was weeks ago on May 19 - 'wanna cheat here?'."

Evans notes that these text blew the situation up to a new level.  He also points out that Blue Beard reportedly rejected the offer.

Concerns then centered on whether there has been cheating in the past.

Twitter Spaces host Elf covered the story Tuesday night.

Elf had this to say on Monday about thenhlbetter on Monday:

Glad it’s finally out that @thenhlbetter
is a complete FRAUD/SCAMMER cosplaying as a professional sportsbettor.

This scammer weaseled his way into the gambling community by playing the nice guy in DMs and lying about big bet slips and he fooled everyone. He ran a predatory poker game that took advantage of @TommygWinsAgain
 and grifted multiple people.

His entire platform was built on the back of lies and slandering my name.
