Who is Chris Moneymaker?

Born in Tennessee in 1975, he had no idea that his life would take a wild turn into the world of high-stakes poker. Chris worked as an accountant before he started playing online poker as a hobby. Little did he know, that hobby would change his life forever.

In 2003, Chris won his seat in the $10.000 buy-in World Series of Poker Main Event through an online satellite tournament for just $39. Yes, you read that right, $39! His Cinderella story is one that will go down in poker history. With a field of 839 players, Chris outlasted them all and became the WSOP Main Event champion, winning $2.5 million.

The rest is history.
