Tulsi Gabbard may be on thin ice as National Intelligence Director, according to recent reports.

While BetOnline still maintained long odds on Gabbard resigning or being let go with payout odds of $425 for every $100 bet, prediction site Polymarket had her favored, along with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, as next to resign, albeit with a 33% chance.

Gabbard told lawmakers earlier this year that Iran was not building a nuclear weapon.

But US President Donald Trump dismissed the assessment of U.S. spy agencies during an overnight flight back to Washington as he cut short his trip to the Group of Seven summit to focus on the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.

“I don’t care what she said,” Trump told reporters. In his view, Iran was “very close” to having a nuclear bomb.

Trump’s statement aligned him more closely with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has described a nuclear-armed Iran as an imminent threat, than with his own top intelligence adviser. Trump met with national security officials, including Gabbard, in the Situation Room on Tuesday as he plans next steps.

Trump was also reportedly infuriated with Gabbard's recent unauthorized video trashing "warmongers".

That video suggested  “warmongers” had brought the world “closer to the brink of nuclear annihilation than ever before.”

The three-minute video showed Tulsi Gabbard visiting Hiroshima, Japan, and warning viewers that modern nuclear warheads would cause even more death and destruction than the bombs that ended World War II.

“Political elites and warmongers are carelessly fomenting fear and tensions between nuclear powers,” she said. “Perhaps it’s because they are confident that they will have access to nuclear shelters for themselves and for their families that regular people won’t have access to. So, it’s up to us, the people, to speak up and demand an end to this madness.”

Janna Brancolini of The Daily Beast noted that the video was posted on June 10, just days after Israel hawks met with Trump at the White House and urged him to support Israel’s attacks on Iran, Politico reported.

Even after Trump reportedly told Gabbard he did not approve of the video, it remained up on X for one week.

“I don’t think he dislikes Tulsi as a person… But certainly the video made him not super hot on her… and he doesn’t like it when people are off message,” a senior administration official told Politico.

A betting market for Gabbard's confirmation remains the most trafficked political betting story of 2025 thus far at Gambling911.com.  In fact, ti is the 4th most trafficked article of the year.
