Rafael Devers has played in eight major league seasons, and he’s only 28.

He’s been one of the best right-handed hitters and run producers in baseball for a long time now.

As good as Devers has been at the plate, his fielding has always been a negative WAR and his physique resembles that of John Kruk.

And that is part of the reason (much to Devers’ dismay) that the Red Sox signed Alex Bregman to play third base which moved Devers to a full-time DH.

Devers let it affect the start of his season as he began 0-19 with 15 strikeouts. He eventually righted the ship, as good hitters typically do, but his poor attitude, including his refusal to play first base when Triston Casas got injured did not sit well with management.

Last week, the Red Sox traded Devers to the San Francisco Giants for a decent package, with the Giants agreeing to take on the rest of Devers’ $250+ million contract.

Coincidentally, the Boston Red Sox will be in the Bay Area this weekend and Devers will get a chance to face his old team.

The oddsmakers at BetOnline.ag created some props around Devers weekend games against the BoSox including hits, home runs, hit by pitch and more.
