Sometimes referred to as the "Sports Betting King", Mazi Smith (real name reported to be Darnell Smith) often boasts of his high-stakes winnings that include wins like $1.45 M on the Chiefs and $548 K in another instance.  He claims to have made dramatic profits such as $317 K in a single day.  Some reports suggest he has been in police custody since May 16.  That just happens to be the day Mazi stopped posting on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Gambling911.com cannot independently verify these claims.

According to Robert Cipriani, a.k.a. “Robin Hood 702, Mazi is being held at  "Clark County Detention Center for multiple charges off Possession of DOC/PERS ID TO COMMIT FORGE/C-FEIT."

Podcaster and investigative journalist Doug Poppa Podcast got more specific with the charges.

"NRS 205.465 - Possession or sale of document or personal identifying information to establish false status or identity. -- Defendant Detained Due to Probation/Parole in other Case."
