The annual Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest returns to Coney Island on Friday, July 4, for an incredible inhalation of hot dogs.
This year’s event carries even more intrigue as Joey “Jaws” Chestnut returns after being banned from the 2024 contest due to a sponsorship with a plant-based meat company.
Chestnut is a 15-time Nathan’s champion, and holds the world record for dogs and buns consumed during the 10-minute window at an astounding 76!
BetOnline.ag is offering a number of odds and props for the event, which will be televised by ESPN starting at 11 a.m. ET.
On the women’s side of the competition, Miki Sudo is eyeing her 11th title after being crowned champ for the past three events. There are no odds for the women’s event as Sudo has better than a 99% chance of winning.
Sudo is married to Nick Wehry, who is competing in the men’s event, and there are odds on who will eat more hot dogs between the husband and wife.
People can wager on how many dogs the contestants will eat, if PETA will show up to protest the event, whether or not someone will vomit and more!
