The Florida Python Challenge is a 10-day annual event that brings together both professional and amateur participants to help remove invasive Burmese pythons from Florida's ecosystem.

Contestants can't use firearms, traps, bait, explosives or chemicals to remove the pythons...just their bare hands!

In the most recent 2024 competition, a total of 195 pythons were captured, with the champ hauling in a total of 20 snakes.

The FPC has become so popular that now there are even ways to wager on it!

BetOnline.ag is the first gambling platform ever to offer odds on the Florida Python Challenge. People can wager on how many pythons will be caught, most pythons by one competitor and even the length of the longest python.

Total Number of Pythons Caught

Over/Under      192.5 pythons

Total Number of Pythons Caught by Champion

Over/Under      18.5 pythons

Length of Longest Python Caught

Over/Under      17.5 feet
