In the case of Wynn Resorts, the casino is eliminating one "money-grab".

Triple Zero Roulette is going the way of the dodo bird, according to Casino.org.

Vital Vegas' Scott Roeben explains the importance:

If you’re not familiar with triple zero roulette, it’s a variation of the game that gives the house an additional 2% edge (7.69%, compared to double zero’s house advantage of 5.26%). Not a huge deal (most players care more about lower table minimums), but roulette enthusiasts lose their minds over what they view as a greedy casino money-grab. There’s a new electronic roulette game with four zeroes. One outrage at a time.

And a further breakdown as to why roulette players should be elated by the move:

European Roulette → 37 numbers (0–36) → house edge ≈ 2.7%

American Roulette → 38 numbers (0, 00, 1–36) → house edge ≈ 5.26%

Triple Zero Roulette → 39 numbers (0, 00, 000, 1–36) → house edge ≈ 7.69%

That makes triple zero the least favorable version for players, since the house edge is higher.

Roeben also points out that Wynn is quietly implementing a number of other changes guests will notice and love. Most aren’t dramatic, but cumulatively, they could give guests some warm fuzzies.  Wynn Las Vegas is at the top of the Las Vegas food chain, so when this resort makes moves, others pay attention.

All three players were released from their teams and no longer enrolled at their schools following the investigation. In its ruling, the NCAA determined "the student-athletes bet on their own games, one another's games and/or provided information that enabled others to do so during the 2024-25 regular season." The NCAA found evidence that two of those players manipulated their own performances to ensure certain bets were won.
