Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira are set to headline UFC 320 in Las Vegas on Saturday with a light heavyweight title rematch, SB Nation reports. The card also features a bantamweight championship fight between Merab Dvalishvili and Cory Sandhagen, plus high-profile matchups including Jiri Prochazka vs. Khalil Rountree Jr. The prediction market Kalshi reported over $2 million in betting volume on Ankalaev vs. Alex Pereira compared to just over $1 million on Dvalishvili vs. Cory Sandhagen.
“We should expect a more aggressive second fight than the first fight — which is going to be something that the fans expect, and I think they’re not going to be disappointed in what they see.”
“We should expect a more aggressive second fight than the first fight — which is going to be something that the fans expect, and I think they’re not going to be disappointed in what they see.," Ankalaev predicted ahead of Saturday night's big bout.
Pereira believes he's going to show much improvement in Saturday night's fight compared to the previous bout vs. Ankalaev
“I think the conditioning I was going into that fight with, honestly, I was about 40%. I’m going to be much more this time. Even if I’m 50% [in the rematch], that 10% is going to make such a difference. I’m going to leave no doubt for everybody.”
Ankalaev was coming in at -255 while Pereira was listed at +210 for a payout potential of $210 on every $100 bet
US Government Shutdown
Lawmakers remain deadlocked over the government shutdown, with Democrats demanding Obamacare subsidies and Republicans refusing to negotiate while the government is closed, The Hill reports. Both sides are betting the other will blink first, raising uncertainty about how long the standoff will last and leaving pressure points like missed military pay looming. Kalshi is forecasting the shutdown to last 20.5 days. Half of traders believe the shutdown will last beyond 20 days.
Mark Sanchez Fate
Mark Sanchez, the former NFL player who was a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for 10 seasons, and the current color analyst for NFL coverage on Fox and Fox Sports 1, was stabbed Saturday.
Following his arrival at the hospital, police arrested Sanchez.
Sanchez, who was in Indianapolis to call Sunday’s Raiders-Colts game, was charged with battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication — all misdemeanors.
Indianapolis police said Sanchez was in a hospital and had not been booked into a detention center. He was in stable condition, according to Fox Sports.
Police said the Marion County prosecutor’s office would make the final charging decision.
Indianapolis police said earlier in the day that they were investigating a confrontation that occurred around 12:30 a.m. Saturday between two men, one of whom was hospitalized with stab wounds. The other man received treatment for lacerations, police said.
Max Lewis, a reporter for CBS 4 in Indianpolis, posted on X the police report indicated Sanchez “may have been the aggressor” in the incident.
Lewis posted:
“Sanchez allegedly attacked a food delivery man after he told the driver he couldn’t park in the alley and needed to leave. The driver told cops that Sanchez began to follow and threaten him. He said Sanchez then attacked him and he fought back using pepper spray.”
Sanchez allegedly continued to threaten the man, so he used a knife to defend himself.
This is a fluid story. Sanchez appears to be okay but his future at Fox is now in question. No betting markets released yet by either Kalshi, Polymarket or BetOnline.

Atlanta Braves News
Braves’ 3 Best Manager Replacements for Brian Snitker - The Atlanta Braves face a pivotal moment in their franchise history as they search for a new manager after Brian Snitker stepped down following the 2025 season. ClutchPoints points to three of the stronger candidates. We also list their odds.
- Walt Weiss: The Continuity Candidate (4/1 odds) - The 60-year-old former shortstop brings both familiarity with the organization and previous managerial experience, making him the early frontrunner for the position.
- Ron Washington: The Proven Winner (NA) - Despite his recent departure from the Los Angeles Angels, the 73-year-old skipper remains one of baseball's most respected managers and represents a significant upgrade in terms of postseason success. Washington's resume speaks for itself. During his tenure as Texas Rangers manager from 2007-2014, he compiled a 664-611 record while leading the franchise to its first two World Series appearances in 2010 and 2011.
- Mark DeRosa: The Fresh Perspective (3/1 odds) - DeRosa offers a combination of Braves connections, modern baseball expertise, and fresh leadership that could energize the franchise. His experience as a member of the 2010 World Series champion San Francisco Giants provides championship-level insight that few candidates can match.
