Liverpool would pay 9/5 odds (€180 for every €100 bet) and Manchester United would pay 7/5 (€140 for every €100 bet). Oh and remember to claim your 20 percent signup bonus at Sportingbet.com (that‘s a free €20 bet with a €100 deposit).

Now the fine folks at the Spoiler put together a few reason why Liverpool will beat Manchester United on Saturday:

Liverpool have won their last nine home league games and they have yet to lose at home in the league in 2008. That €180 for every €100 bet is looking mighty enticing right about now.

The Spoiler also acknowledges that Liverpool has really been the best team in the Premier League since last February. They've only had one defeat.

Manchester United have won just one of their four games so far this season over the course of 90 minutes.

Maybe most damning of all: Liverpool have gone eight league games without a win against Manchester United. The last such run occurred between 1996 and 2000 and on the ninth meeting Liverpool triumphed 1-0 and did the double over them that season.

Another point made is that, in the last five encounters between the two at Anfield have never seen more than one goal scored - with four being scored in total.

Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard and striker Fernando Torres were cleared to play in tomorrow's Premier League match against Manchester United, Bloomberg News reported.

Gerrard recently underwent groin surgery and Torres was sidelined by a torn hamstring. Both completed a light training session today, manager Rafael Benitez said.

``They are both much better,'' Benitez said on Liverpool's Web site. ``It wasn't a very hard session, but they will both be in the squad. If they are in the squad, then they can play.''

Gerrard missed England's first two World Cup qualifying matches with the past week following his surgery. Torres left Liverpool's last game at Aston Villa on Aug. 31 in the first half because of his groin.

``It's important for us to have these two players of quality who can change a game,'' Benitez said.
