Will the Commanders Cover the Spread vs. Detroit Lions on Sunday?

Watch this one closely as it is a late afternoon game seeing greater action than all the early games. And this has been the case over the last two days. Lions were seeing greater than 93% of the action as of Saturday morning as an -8 point favorite, having been as high as -9. Bovada, of all books, had dropped the number to -7.5.  Remarkably, at one point they even moved the number all the way down to -7.

Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said it was his mistake that Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was playing in the fourth quarter of their latest lopsided loss when he dislocated his left elbow.

“I know hindsight, all this and that, but yeah, I do feel for him,” Campbell said. “But I don’t feel like he should have to feel that way.”

The Dan Campbell-led Detroit Lions (5-3) won't be feeling sorry for anyone, though, when they visit Washington on Sunday because they need a win to keep pace in the NFC North and among potential contenders in the conference.

Quinn does not have a timetable for Daniels return.

The Commanders come into this one 3-6.

Marcus Mariota, the No. 2 overall draft pick a decade ago, will make his fourth start in place of Daniels. In five games this season, Mariota has as many touchdown passes (four) as interceptions.  Because of that, gamblers are all over the Lions.

But bookies do have a strong opinion here that the Commanders cover, as is evident by the line move against the action coming in.

Washington will be our pick here for sure.

Why Use a Pay Per Head Service?

Lots of sports betting software uses a subscription payment model. Usually, your bookie business would pay a flat fee each month in exchange for sportsbook services.

Unfortunately, this can cost more than it’s worth during the off-season when you don’t have a lot of bettors. It’s also not ideal for small-time bookies looking for a profitable side gig.

Luckily, AcePerHead software uses a pay-per-head (PPH) subscription model. You pay as low as $3 per player with active bets during a monthly payment period.

The Pay Per Head model makes it easy for anyone to start their own sportsbook.
