Fresh off the heels of banning sweepstakes casinos, popular Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) sites could be targeted next by California lawmakers.

Live Sports Betting Odds, Online Sportsbook, Casino, Racebook, BetPhoenix

Victor Rocha, Conference Chair of the Indian Gaming Association. President of Victor-Strategies, vowed the state would take action against these DFS sites via his X page.

And also on the radar, prediction markets (PM).

"We’re going after DFS+ next," Rocha tweeted. "I’m also hearing talk of PM legislation in California . Imagine what happens when the PMs are shutdown by the SCOTUS. What goes up must come down, right?"

California is one of the states that does not regulate sports betting.

When asked why California doesn't just regulate its own sportsbooks, Rocha said "that’s the direction we’re heading". But he also noted that "anyone that does PM in California will not be allowed back in the market when it does open up."

California voters previously voted against allowing regulated sports betting in the state.
