Merge Poker Needs More Help: Potential Still There

Fledgling Merge Poker received a significant boost last week when the Sportsbook.com family of online betting sites joined their network.

While a number of poker news sites have touted Sportsbook's entrance into the Merge platform as the second coming of Christ, Merge will need a few more miracles from God to break the top 10.

Not to take anything away from Merge, Gambling911.com predicts this will take about a year to accomplish, if not sooner should they continue to focus on top notch brands while understanding the online sports betting community has much to offer poker ventures.  Merge Poker's real cash player base more than doubled in the past week.

They are now the 17th biggest online poker network, up a few notches from earlier this month.  They were within 100 real cash players striking distance of Bodog Poker, also lagging around number 15.

Sitting in between Merge and Bodog Poker is Betfair, which seems to be surging a bit this past week.

Cake Poker, meanwhile, has just joined forces with Gambling911.com to improve its branding through SEO and positive PR.
