John Johnson's total passing yards over/under for the Christmas Day game between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders was listed at 185.5.
Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said Josh Johnson will start Week 17.
From NBC Edge:
The well-traveled journeyman quarterback will get the nod against Dallas after Marcus Mariota sustained quad and hand injuries in Week 16 against the Eagles. Johnson represents a big-time downgrade for Terry McLaurin, Deebo Samuel, and the rest of the Washington pass catchers, even in a matchup against the burnable Cowboys secondary. Look for the Commanders to go run heavy in Week 17, making Chris Rodriguez viable as a flex option in 12-team formats.
Dak Prescott completed 21-of-30 passes for 244 yards and two touchdowns in the Cowboys’ 34-17, Week 16 loss to the Chargers.
His passing yards total comes in at 270.5 for this Christmas Day game.
Joe Milton took over for the final drive with the Cowboys down 17. Prescott looked magnificent in the first half, even losing a third passing touchdown to a questionable holding penalty, but the Chargers eventually found his number and were able to get pressure through Dallas’ offensive line. The Cowboys did not convert either of their fourth-down attempts in the second half, including a fourth-and-short fullback plunge. Prescott and the ‘Boys have nothing to play for, but a matchup against the Commanders in Week 17 promises fantasy fireworks. Dak should remain on the QB1 line in that one.
