It's not uncommon to see poker pro Mike "The Mouth" Matusow followers disagree with what he has to say politically, but Sunday witnessed nearly three quarters turn on him following his X post looking to defend the recent fatal shooting of a US citizen by ICE agents in Minneapolis on Saturday.
A federal immigration officer shot and killed a man Saturday in Minneapolis, drawing hundreds of protesters onto the frigid streets and ratcheting up tensions in a city already shaken by another fatal shooting weeks earlier.
Family members identified the man who was killed as Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old intensive care unit nurse who had protested President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown in his city. After the shooting, an angry crowd gathered and protesters clashed with federal immigration officers, who wielded batons and deployed flash bangs.
Information about what led up to the shooting was limited, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said.

Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement that federal officers were conducting an operation and fired “defensive shots” after a man with a handgun approached them and “violently resisted” when officers tried to disarm him.
Numerous videos of the incident seem to indicate otherwise. It has been revealed, however, that Pretti was carrying a concealed weapon on his person. O’Hara said police believe the man was a “lawful gun owner with a permit to carry.”
Matusow, an ardent supporter of President Trump, reposted a video with the caption: “What I would not do is go out and seek confrontation and attack officers while having a gun on me, and then reach for it, cause I know that would get me shot… it’s common sense. It’s so easy not to get shot by a federal officer.”
Matusow's own tweet included the caption "Here on planet earth we have common sense!"

But the poker pro's own followers were quick to pull up an old tweet of Matusow's supporting Kyle Rittenhouse's right to carry a weapon during a protest in Wisconsin whereby Rittenhouse fatally shot a protestor.

Balto Star added:
"It's truly extraordinary how little effort Mike makes to acquaint himself with the facts before posting. Alex Pretti never reached for his gun which was always holstered until an ICE agent removed it from his holster and walked away, inadvertently discharging it in the process."
