DeMario Douglas's receiving yards total was coming in with an over/under of 10.5 for Super Bowl 2026.
This season, Douglas is averaging a career-high 10.2 air yards per target, a substantial increase from his first two years in the NFL (6.9 yards).
Douglas caught 2-of-2 targets for 36 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots’ Divisional Round win over the Texans.
Douglas’ 28-yard score on the Patriots’ second series was his first since November 2. He shed a tackle on a 4th-and-1 crosser and was off to the house. Douglas is just a role player in Josh McDaniels’ offense, but one who gets weekly looks. Considering the Broncos’ elite perimeter coverage, Douglas could be something of an AFC Championship Game X-factor over the middle of the field.
Douglas's average target depth exploded to 15.3 air yards, and so has his production: 11-of-14, 232 yards, 2 TDs.
"It feels good to run those routes again and be back in my element. That's been a blessing," Douglas said. "I feel like Josh [McDaniels], he's seen that, and that's what makes him a great OC. He sees what we're good at and he keeps it up."
