Tyreek Hill as a San Francisco 49er

With the Miami Dolphins releasing Tyreek Hill on Monday, everybody wants to know where he might end up next.   Oddsmakers at BetOnline were expected to release odds on Hill's next team shortly.  The prediction markets began trading Monday evening.

The Kansas City Chiefs were listed with the best chances of landing Hill at 48%.

Next come the San Francisco 49ers with 43% chance at Polymarket.

The 49ers possess sufficient cap space, making them a plausible destination to add a dynamic playmaker to their offense, particularly with potential changes to their wide receiver group.

The San Francisco 49ers badly need wide receiver help.

Hill has six 1,000-yard seasons under his belt, including two seasons north of 1,700 yards in the 2022 and 2023 campaigns.

Hill was carted off the field in the Dolphins' game against the New York Jets with a dislocated left knee. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said Hill's surgery was successful and that the WR is on track to play in 2026 according to ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques.

From the Niners Wire:

At this juncture of his career Hill is a tough bet to be able to fill either of those roles effectively in an offense that needs productive players at its top receiving corps. That's particularly true for a 49ers club that has had a hard time staying healthy over most of the last decade. Bringing in Hill, who may not even play in 2026 according to a report from NFL Media's Tom Pelissero on Monday, only adds uncertainty on the health front in an offseason where the 49ers need to be finding ways to get healthy.

The 49ers should at least kick tires on Hill, but they shouldn't be bringing him in unless they're adding enough help in their receiving corps that Hill is a luxury piece whose health and productivity won't make or break their offense.
