With the line coming down -4 to -3.5 despite 65% of the spread action on Iowa State, one can't help but think there is some value in Tennessee covering here.  There are plays - like yesterday's Illinois winning against Houston outright - and there are modest opinions like here

Tennessee vs. Iowa State

No. 6 Iowa State and No. 23 Tennessee play in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.

The Cyclones are 14-7 against Big 12 opponents and 15-0 in non-conference play. Iowa State has a 25-3 record in games decided by 10 or more points.

The Volunteers are 12-8 against SEC opponents. Tennessee is third in college basketball with 39.2 rebounds per game led by Nate Ament averaging 6.4.

Iowa State makes 49.0% of its shots from the field this season, which is 8.3 percentage points higher than Tennessee has allowed to its opponents (40.7%). Tennessee scores 14.1 more points per game (79.4) than Iowa State gives up to opponents (65.3).

Milan Momcilovic averages 3.7 made 3-pointers per game for the Cyclones, scoring 17.2 points while shooting 49.1% from beyond the arc. Joshua Jefferson is averaging 16.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.6 steals over the last 10 games.

Ja'Kobi Gillespie is averaging 18.4 points, 5.6 assists and 2.1 steals for the Volunteers.

Gillespie comes into this game with an over/under total of 18.5

Ament is averaging 1.1 made 3-pointers over the last 10 games.

MSU vs. UConn

Connecticut is a -2.5 favorite here. Action is balanced but the line moved from a PICK'EM to Huskies -2.

No. 7 UConn and No. 11 Michigan State meet in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.

The Huskies are 19-4 against Big East opponents and 12-1 in non-conference play. UConn ranks ninth in college basketball with 18.4 assists per game. Silas Demary Jr. leads the Huskies averaging 6.1.

The Spartans are 15-6 in Big Ten play. Michigan State ranks fourth in the Big Ten shooting 36.5% from 3-point range.

UConn's average of 8.2 made 3-pointers per game this season is only 0.4 fewer made shots on average than the 8.6 per game Michigan State gives up. Michigan State averages 14.2 more points per game (79.3) than UConn allows to opponents (65.1).

Tarris Reed Jr. is shooting 62.8% and averaging 14.2 points for the Huskies. Alex Karaban is averaging 2.0 made 3-pointers over the last 10 games.

Jaxon Kohler is averaging 12.6 points and nine rebounds for the Spartans.

Jeremy Fears Jr. is averaging 15.7 points over the last 10 games.

His scoring total for this game comes in at 16.5 over/under.
