German rapper Capital Bra is accused of promoting illegal gambling.  Police issued him a fine while he was performing on stage.

The German federal gambling regulator (GGL) claims Capital Bra was found to be promoting the illegal gambling websites via his social media accounts and while live streaming.

It was on those websites where the rapper shared affiliate links in contravention of Germany’s Interstate Treaty on Gambling (GlüStV 2021).

The €250,000 fine was delivered to Capital Bra by the GGL and West Hesse police department during a concert in Wiesbaden this past weekend.

In a statement released by the GGL, they voted to “use all legally permissible means and cooperate with the competent police authorities to ensure the enforcement of applicable law. Practice shows that enforcement succeeds.”

Board member Ronald Benter added: “We don’t shy away from well-known names. Anyone who advertises illegal gambling should expect consistent official measures.”

Capital Bra primarily pushed Capibonus.com (casino comparison site) via his social media and live streaming platforms.

Regulators claim that none of the top-listed casinos were on Germany’s whitelist of legal operators.

Captial Bra, while raised and continuing to reside in Germany, was born in Siberia, Russia.

He topped the German with Cherry Lady in 2019.

His name is derived from Berlin “Capital” and Bru or Bro "Bra".
