Ye Shen, 42, also known by his poker nickname "Tony Mars," is an international poker player from Shanghai, China. 

Shen was booked and released in Clark County, Nevada, following felony charges filed by prosecutors related to allegedly writing two bad checks totaling $300,000 at the Wynn Las Vegas.

He is being charged with one count of passing a check with insufficient funds, and one felony theft charge involving $100,000 or more, a Class B felony in Nevada that carries a pretty wide prison range sentencing of between 1 and 20 years. 

According to reports, the checks were allegedly written on Dec. 28, 2024, and the criminal complaint was filed in March 2026. Shen was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on May 14, 2026, and later released.

Shen is known in poker circles as “Tony Mars” and appeared on livestreamed high-stakes cash games, including Hustler Casino Live.  He has been accused publicly of cheating by some fellow poker players in the past. 

Shen's total live winnings were listed at $75,887 with his biggest cashout being $32,063 at the $ 4,500 + 500 No Limit Hold'em Entry restricted StormX Invitational III in partnership with PokerGO, Las Vegas in October of 2023. 

It was not immediately known if Shen had to surrender his passport.
